Hire me, Bryter
as a frontend engineer
Why Bryter?
No-code and automation tools for developers, designers and marketers have been around for a while now. It is exciting to see these solutions break into other major industries, as well.
You are helping businesses take the next big step while looking after your employees. That’s exciting and I would love to be a part of that!
My Experience
Over the years, I’ve spent a lot of time improving my web development skills. When it comes to Javascript libraries, I’ve worked mostly with Vue.js / Nuxt.js, but I like to keep myself up to date with other tools, as well. Like React, Svelte, Alpine.js.
Focusing on front-end at Mintos
My recent professional experience was at Mintos - one of the Europe’s leading fintech companies that serves as a marketplace for investing in loans. During my time there as a front-end developer, I had a chance to work closely with designers, product owners and other developers to implement changes and features on Mintos web application that is built with Vue.js / Nuxt.js using TypeScript. Testing was done with Jest and Cypress.
At Mintos, I had an amazing mentor Andrejs Abrickis who guided me through Mintos processes like scrum, code reviews, test-driven development, and CI/CD. I made great progress under his supervision and managed to become a valuable team member.
Doing it all at Two Askew
Previously I worked as a web developer at Two Askew - a small two person web design and development agency. There I had a chance to become a jack of all trades (and master of some). While front-end development was my main focus, quite a lot of time was spent in back-end development (PHP / Laravel), customer research, business development and design, as well.
What else?
Although front-end development is my speciality, I like to tinker and experiment with other technologies and design, as well. For example, a few years ago I created an CLI app that let me send fake SMS messages to my girlfriend from our dogs, using Node.js and Nexmo API.
To learn more about PHP and Laravel, I created basketFilms - a website that curates NBA documentaries. This project is dead now but it got 118 upvotes on Product Hunt and was featured on Basket USA - the biggest online resource in France dedicated to NBA basketball.
I also wanted to mention that in school German was my first choice as a foreign language to study. I might be rusty but there is some Deutsch left in me.
Working Remotely
Option to work remotely is amazing! But, besides obvious benefits, this approach has its own set of drawbacks. Over the years I've implemented some rules and habits to keep my productivity up. The most important thing - to have a dedicated workspace.

p.s. Shoutout to Rob Hope who hosts the Yo! podcast.
At the moment I’m living in Riga, Latvia. But last year I spent 7 months in Malaga, Spain with my girlfriend and two dogs while working with freelance clients remotely. So remote work is nothing new to me.
